COURSE OVERVIEW
Keep offshore workers safe with immersive VR training for the oil and gas industry
Floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) requires workers to work at heights that present safety hazards. This VR experience allows oil rig workers to safely learn the potential risks of FPSO operation. Workers will practice selecting and using the proper safety equipment and perform various tasks at heights according to OSHA industry safety standards. This VR assessment can be applied for training, recycling and monitoring the risk awareness of employees working on FPSO vessels.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Participants Will Learn How To:
- Master Offshore Risk Awareness: Recognize and mitigate the unique safety hazards associated with high-altitude operations on FPSO vessels and oil rigs.
- Ensure OSHA Compliance: Align all on-site behaviors, tool usage, and fall-protection setups with strict OSHA industry safety standards.
- Eliminate Equipment Failure: Develop a rigorous habit of identifying, inspecting, and correctly deploying specialized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Standardize Technical Procedures: Execute complex technical operations seamlessly while suspended or working on elevated structures
COURSE METHODOLOGY
This course uses immersive VR technology to recreate realistic offshore working-at-height scenarios that simulate FPSO and oil platform environments.
Training methodology includes
- Interactive VR offshore platform simulations
- Fall protection and PPE training exercises
- Scaffolding safety and navigation scenarios
- Hazard identification and risk assessment tasks
- Equipment inspection and selection practice
- Real-time feedback and performance evaluation
- OSHA-aligned offshore safety procedures
- Scenario-based decision-making training
COURSE DURATION
5days
COURSE CERTIFICATES
Participants who successfully navigate the virtual platform, spot all critical hazards, and pass the OSHA-aligned compliance checkpoints will be awarded the Offshore Working at Heights VR Competency Certificate
