Creating a culture of safety requires every employee in the workplace to be knowledgeable in identifying hazardous situations, from chemicals to faulty equipment that could pose safety risks or OSHA penalties. VR Hazard Recognition challenges employees to use and apply their knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards to locate dangerous health and safety risks and make corrections where appropriate. COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course provides an interactive, hands-on assessment of an employee’s situational awareness and knowledge of safety protocols.
Participants will learn how to
- Don Proper Protection: Evaluate the immediate environment and correctly select and equip the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify Hidden Risks: Spot and classify a wide range of industrial hazards, from structural flaws to chemical mismanagement.
- Execute Corrective Actions: Determine the right immediate response or compliance recommendation to safely neutralize a hazard.
- Utilize Safety Resources: Correctly read and apply Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) when handling hazardous materials or chemical storage zones.

- The Prep Room: Trainees begin in a safety staging area where they must inspect and properly put on their PPE before entering the work floor.
- The Dual-Environment Hunt: Workers explore two distinct, high-fidelity settings—a traditional storage warehouse and a specialized chemical storage facility—using SDS sheets to track down active risks.
- The Visual Feedback Loop: Upon completing the assessment, trainees re-enter the warehouse with an interactive, color-coded overlay. Correctly spotted hazards are highlighted in Green, missed items in Yellow, and critical errors in Red, linking directly back to OSHA documentation for instant remediation.
