COURSE OVERVIEW
Safely learn OSHA Lockout Tagout energy control procedures for servicing machinery
This training course meets OSHA requirements for Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Employees will learn what kind of maintenance requires LOTO procedures, how to prepare a work area for shutdown, isolate, lockout, and de- energize all power sources, and verify that the equipment is fully shutdown and non-operational. Then restore the machine back to working order. Group LOTO training is also included. The training course ends with an assessment where the trainee will perform the procedures in a life-like workplace environment.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Participants will learn how to
- Identify LOTO Conditions: Recognize exactly which maintenance, clearing, or repair tasks legally mandate a full energy isolation protocol.
- Execute Order of Operations: Master the non-negotiable, step-by-step sequence of a compliant machine shutdown.
- Isolate Multiple Energy Sources: Locate and de-energize all connected power lines, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and residual kinetic energy.
- Apply Physical Lockout Devices: Properly select and attach padlocks, hasps, and warning tags to energy isolation points.
- Verify Zero Energy State: Safely test and attempt to restart the machinery to verify it is completely non-operational before beginning service.
- Safely Restore Equipment: Follow exact reverse protocols to remove locks, notify the floor team, and safely return the machinery to working order.

FAQS
What is Lockout Tag out (LOTO) Training?
LOTO Training is a safety course that teaches employees how to control hazardous energy during machine maintenance to prevent accidental startup and injuries.
Is this course OSHA compliant?
Yes, the training follows OSHA Lockout Tag out standards and energy control safety requirements.
What types of energy are covered?
The course covers electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other hazardous energy sources.
What is group Lockout Tag out?
Group LOTO involves multiple workers performing maintenance safely using coordinated lock stations, logbooks, and shared lockout systems.
How are participants assessed?
Participants are evaluated through a final VR simulation where they must correctly complete the full Lockout Tag out procedure in a pass/fail assessment.
What happens if mistakes are made?
Trainees receive real-time feedback during training, allowing them to correct errors before final evaluation.
Who should attend this course?
This course is ideal for maintenance staff, industrial workers, technicians, engineers, and anyone working with machinery or hazardous energy systems.
Will participants receive a certificate after completion?
Yes, participants who complete the course will receive a certificate confirming their competency in OSHA Lockout Tag out procedures.
